I found myself on a website where podcasts I had done years ago were still posted.
I used to have a podcast show called “Planet Music”, where I showcased the music of independent music artists and bands. I interviewed these talented folks and included some of their songs in the interview.
I did it all out of my home using digital recording equipment and audio editing software- Audacity.
It was an amazing experience. It was so much fun.
In this blog, I will include a link to just half of the podcasts I did. The other half were on a private server and I can’t them back.
Here is a blast from my past-
I got my husband an early steak dinner for his birthday. His birthday was the following day. I got it for him from a restaurant and ran it up to him on his lunch.
He ordered medium well. But, instead, the steak was very red.
This is the second time this restaurant under cooked his steak.
I took the meat up to the restaurant and told them that it was nothing close to medium well and the manager gave me a coupon for another steak meal.
That is good. But, when we get this replacement steak, we have to have the guy cut it open before we take it home (if we get it as a carry out) and make sure it is cooked enough this time.
I don’t think we will ever go there again. They just can’t get it right when cooking the steak to our specifications. But, the replacement steak- my husband deserves that. His 40th birthday meal was ruined because the steak was pretty much walking off the plate.
We will get the replacement steak, but we need to make sure that one is done right.
I worked today in the morning and got some extra hours at the grocery store.
Now, I am at home doing one load of laundry and three loads of our bedding.
Charlie has been getting used to his Thunder Shirt.
He really likes it once we get it on him.
I call him my “green bean” whenever he has it on.
Charlie suffers from separation anxiety when my husband goes to work and anxiety, in general, pretty much all the time.
He gets so stressed out about every little thing.
So, we are trying out the Thunder Shirt that looks like a straight jacket for dogs. My mom gave it to us. It used to be their dog’s before she passed away.
Charlie seems to like the security and comfort it brings. It feels like a big, strong hug when he wears it.
However, getting it off and on him is another story.
He is afraid of the velcro sound. He goes nuts.
We are trying to get him used to it and not have him flip out when we have to undo the velcro, because he needs SOMETHING for anxiety.
Today, the lady I help at my PCA (Personal Care Assistant) job and I met at Walmart and we did some shopping.
We had a lot of fun!
But, all that shopping wore me out. I didn’t even eat the oatmeal I made myself for dinner.
I threw it in the frig. for breakfast tomorrow and went to bed at 8:30.
After work, I felt the need to tweak the dogs’ eyes in our Christmas Photo on Paint Shop.
I just wasn’t happy yet, even though, I spent hours on their eyes days ago.
Originally, they both had these huge white shiny balls in their eyes where the flash reflected off their eyes. I fixed that photo, but, yet, their eyes still looked very “painted”, not natural at all.
So, today, I toned down the blacks and whites and opted for a grey instead of green, and, to me, their eyes look more natural.
Charlie has huge pupils, so I HAD to give him bigger pupils than what he originally had.
I am happy now and this photo is going to be our Christmas Photo for this year.
To me, it is much better than what it originally was-
My husband lost his prescription sunglasses yesterday at work.
We have no idea where they are.
It looks like we need to get him another pair at Walmart optical- the cheapest place we know of that is not online to replace those glasses.
After calling in sick yesterday, because my cold was still pretty bad, I went back to my grocery store job today.
And, I felt pretty good. I did go to bed at 6:30 in the evening after working my 5 hour shift.
I was really tired.
